Press brakes are presses with a moving bed, the tool is clamped to the bed with a ram, then the workpiece is clamped to the tool.
A press brake is a machine tool used to cut or shape metal by deforming it with a mechanical punch. The cutting tool (or die) is usually in the form of a knife or blade, but may also be other shapes such as star-shaped, flower-shaped and so on. The punch could be stationary while the die moves up and down, or vice versa; however most often both move together as one unit along their own axis of travel.
Press brakes are presses with a moving bed; the workpiece is clamped to this moving bed using a ram (which can be hydraulically driven). The tool itself is clamped to the stationary part of the machine frame which houses all other components needed for operation including hydraulic cylinders etc.
